Tasha Smith Actors Workshop Los Angeles - Teachers

Kevin Benton
Teaches Tuesday & Wednesday, 7pm - 10pm

Class - Beginner/Intermediate
Includes Scene Study, Emotional Prep, Character Development and Instrumental Exercises

Kevin Benton brings his 30 years of film, television and commercials experience and a working knowledge of the industry to TSAW. Immersed for the last two decades in the Ivana Chubbuck technique, Kevin takes the actor to his/her discovery of imagination and growth, unlocking the survival instinct, which allows the actor to act from the core and make powerful choices. In addition, as a long time student of Playhouse West (Robert Carnegie) - including two opportunities to study with Sanford Meisner, Kevin has the qualifications to bring forth the “as if” to the student’s imagination. Kevin has a deep love and understanding for the Sanford Meisner technique where exercises focused on listening and answering under imaginary circumstances fuel the actor’s craft.

Tracey Dukes is a New York native - Actor and Model. It was an encounter with two bestselling books that would cause him to change the course of his career from Modeling to Acting. Don Miguel Ruiz’s The Four Agreements taught Tracey the value in self- discipline and how to better understand different personalities. Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist lit a fire under Dukes that led to his move to Los Angeles three years ago. Since making the leap, Tracey has worked bi-coastally, appearing in independent films, commercials, stage plays and web series. Tracey believes a well-rounded life can only help him grow within his craft. Aside from taking classes with veteran actress Tasha Smith and dialect coach Denise Woods, Tracey’s an avid foodie, fisherman and a new father to full-blooded Pit-bull named Bleu. Tracey Dukes' philosophy is simple, ‘Be great’.
